After getting a clear idea of which sections of the traces I wanted to be black or white, I transferred the images. This process was relatively simple as I only needed to trace over the edges of the new images on top of black Canson paper. This left soft indents that would not harm the clean surface of the paper and still offer clear lines to cut along. After transferring the lines, all that was left to do was cut the images out with an Xacto knife. The images below are the positives and negatives that I cut. They are not glued or affixed to their background in any way, meaning all the pieces shuffled around a lot before I was able to take these pictures. They were left loose in order to reassess each piece's composition and coloration choices. By experimenting with the rearrangement and recombination of the individual sections of the positive and negative versions, new and better versions of the image could be discovered.
