Once I had mounted the first round of paper cuttings, I began work on the second. This required that I crop into the original images so that I could remove all but the bare essentials of the composition, leaving behind the essence of that first photograph. After selecting certain portions of the images to use, I traced the squares of varying size onto tracing paper, and made scans of the resulting images.
I then transferred these images to more black Canson paper and began the process of cutting and gluing the pieces to a smaller piece of white illustration board. The result is below.
